Cryptozoology: Sea Monsters
Given that many of the world’s oceans and seas are largely unexplored, it is perhaps no surprise that tales of strange “sea monsters” still remain with us today, much the same as they have for as long as humans took to the waters in antiquity. And this is very much reflected in the creation stories and myths from all around the world.
We have all heard, for example, the legends of the Loch Ness Monster. And many of us, if only in fascinating fictional stories as children, will have heard of giant octopuses attacking entire ships and their crew.

The legends of the Loch Ness Monster are some of the most well-known and enduring in history. Is there really an unknown aquatic beast-like creature lurking in the waters of Loch Ness?
