From Another World Or Beyond The Veil? The Pennsylvania Sphere Beings Encounters

In recent years, in part because of the Internet allowing for the faster pace of free-flowing information, there have been many reports of strange orbs and sphere-shaped objects. Just one state that has seen several of these is Pennsylvania, where reports are as unique as they are intriguing. Moreover, several of these sightings not only featured these strange glowing orbs but also featured reports of strange figures within them, perhaps suggesting that there is some definite intelligence behind them.

It is also perhaps interesting to note that the Keystone State is no stranger to a wide range of paranormal activity. In fact, we might even say it is a state of high strangeness, with regular UFO sightings, Bigfoot and other cryptid reports, as well as being home to a number of truly dark, ominous, and even haunted locations. Moreover, these reports go back to before the time of the Pilgrims to the indigenous tribes of the region, and most likely for centuries before that. Indeed, the orb sightings of recent times in Pennsylvania could very well prove to be a link of sorts between the strange activity of the modern age and that of the past.

The Bizarre Encounter Of “John Robinson”

Although the date is not known, an encounter from recent years is a great place for us to begin. One evening near Jonestown, Pennsylvania, “John Robinson” was driving along Interstate 81 when he suddenly noticed a bizarre-looking light ahead of him. To begin with, he thought he was looking at the scene of an accident, with the lights perhaps belonging to a crippled car. A moment after spotting the light, he began to slow his vehicle in order to take in more detail from the approaching scene in front of him.

He later recalled that he “didn’t understand” what he was looking at, explaining that he could see a “basketball-sized glowing orb” that was “slowly bouncing up and down from about three to five feet above the inside shoulder of the highway!”

By this point, he had slowed his speed down to around 20 miles per hour, and as he slowed his speed, more and more details of the scene began to register in his mind. He recalled that the orb looked like “one of those balls you can touch and create blue static electrical charge!” Moreover, the more he concentrated on the orb, the more he could see that inside the orb was a “glowing white creature with deep black eyes!” He could also see the inside of the orb had some kind of “mechanical structure” that made him believe it was “some kind of craft!”

By this point, the object had moved across from the hard shoulder and into the passing lane of the highway, only just avoiding a collision with Robinson’s car by just a few feet. However, as the object passed, he managed to “make deep eye contact through the side window!” After the object had passed, Robinson slowly increased his speed, occasionally glancing in the rearview mirror, watching as the light continued in the other direction.

The ”Calling” Case Of “Derek Green”

Another, very similar encounter unfolded several years before John Robinson’s, also in Pennsylvania, on the evening of July 23^rd, 2012. On the night in question, “Derek Green” had just finished work and was driving to his friend’s house, where he planned to “hang out” for the evening with them and several other friends. As he drove, however, he suddenly became aware of a bizarre “sensation of warmth” in his head. At the same time, an unknown voice began inside his head, telling him to drive to his parents’ house.

For a moment, he considered ignoring this bizarre instruction. However, something deep inside him told him that he should indeed listen to it, and he quickly changed direction and began on his way to his parents’ home. By the time he arrived, it was close to 3:30 am. As he approached the property, he could see a light coming from the driveway, something he assumed was coming from one of the property’s outside lights. Then, however, the light suddenly went out.

Given the late hour, he was certain the light wouldn’t have been an external light switched off by one of his parents, and he now began to question just what the strange glow was. He brought the car to a stop and cautiously got out. As soon as he did so, he became aware of a “metallic sound” that sounded like metal hitting stone or rock.

It was also at this point that he heard one of the family dogs barking inside the house. He wasn’t sure if they were barking because they had picked up on his presence, or if they were reacting to something else taking place close to the exterior of the property. He took another quick look around and ventured inside the house.

Strange Figures Outside The House

Once inside, he quickly scanned the inside of the property, not noticing anything to be concerned about, and certainly no signs of any kind of disturbance. The dogs, though, were another story, with Derek recalling they were “going crazy” over something. Then, he walked into the living room, and as he did so, he noticed something strange. He turned his attention to the window, noticing that there seemed to be some kind of figure standing on the other side of the glass.

He walked over as slowly as he could and looked outside. When he did so, he was more than shocked to see “two red orbs” hovering a short distance above the ground. Even more remarkable, inside each of these strange, glowing spheres was a strange creature. He remained as still as he could, half so he wasn’t noticed, and half in absolute shock. He described these creatures as being around three to four feet in height, with grey colored skin. Then, he noticed something else.

Between the glowing, red orbs and the window he was looking out of were several “Shadows” that were much taller than the creatures in the orbs, at least six feet in height. Even stranger, he could hear what he described as “blipping noises” coming from these strange shadowy figures, and he got the sense that they were communicating with each other. More unsettling, though, he also got the impression that they were attempting to gain entry into the house. When he noticed their attention was on an open window, he immediately ran to the fireplace and grabbed the poker before making his way outside.

He ran out of the door and towards the corner of the house, intent on launching an attack as soon as he rounded the corner. However, the moment after he had done so, things suddenly changed, and the next thing he realized he was “lying on the ground!” When he came fully to his senses, he could see the poker on the grass next to him.

A Healed Foot And Rearranged Clothes!

Not wanting to stay outside, but feeling as though the distance to the house – given his weakened state – was too far, he dragged himself to his car, got inside, and locked the door. When he glanced at the clock on the dashboard, he was shocked to see that it was just after 5:30 am. Two hours had passed – two hours that he simply had no memory of.

He sat in the car, realizing how drowsy he felt, likening it to how one might feel when coming round following an operation. There were also other strange details that he noticed. Several months before the encounter, Derek had broken his foot, and while it had since healed, it still caused him discomfort and pain. Now, however, it felt like it had before the break, with no discomfort whatsoever. He did, though, feel a pain in his left leg that he hadn’t noticed before.

It was at this point that he also noticed that his clothes were “rearranged” on his body. His shirt, for example, was now on backwards (which it hadn’t been before), suggesting that either he, with no memory of having done so, or someone, or something else had removed the shirt and then redressed him.

He remained in the car for just short of two hours, almost in a trance in his exhausted, daze-like state. It was only when his mother left the house to take the dogs for their morning walk that he snapped out of it. She walked to the car, pleased to see her son, but confused as to what he was doing there, asking why he hadn’t just come inside.

Something Of Importance About The House

Whatever did happen that evening outside his parents’ home in rural Pennsylvania, Derek experienced several other bizarre events in the years that followed. He began, for example, to have strange, intense dreams about quantum physics theories, often waking up with advanced scientific equations in his mind. He would write these equations down, and when he looked them up online, he was amazed to find they were correct. Also, for reasons he couldn’t explain, he began to use the number “31” whenever he could (for passwords and usernames, for example).

Eventually, as intrigued as he was perplexed, he contacted the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) to report the encounter and the strange events that had followed. During the course of being interviewed by the MUFON investigator, he revealed that he suspected the encounter that had taken place at his parents’ home in the summer of 2012 was not a random, one-off encounter, but was just the latest incident involving “something (that) had been observing him for years!” Moreover, this observing intelligence only ever interacted with him at his parents’ home.

Even more interesting, in the years since the encounter at his parents’ house, Derek learned that his stepfather (who lived at the house with his mother) had also had several strange and disturbing incidents there.

It is perhaps an interesting detail that these events were seemingly limited to the family home. Could there be some kind of portal, vortex, and gateway there that allowed these strange alien-like creatures access to our realm? And if so, what kept them in this location? Why, for example, did they not venture off into the wider world? Or perhaps there is not just the location to consider, but the people living inside it. Perhaps this intelligence requires their presence to manifest?

Indeed, while it is tempting to wrap up this strange encounter as a possible alien abduction, or at least a close extraterrestrial encounter, we might find that this, and perhaps other similar encounters, are much more nuanced and complicated than that.

Strange Orb Sightings Go Back Decades (At Least!)

There are many other sightings with strange orbs and spheres around the world, and while we don’t have time or space to explore each of those here, if we stay in the state of Pennsylvania, we can find plenty of other encounters.

One online commentator, for example, told of an incident that occurred in the Keystone State in the mid-1970s. He stated that, when he was younger, he was riding his bike close to his neighborhood when he noticed a “three to four foot silver ball” that was “floating” over the top of a telephone pole. He watched the strange, metallic sphere for several moments before he suddenly began to feel dizzy. Then, the next thing he knew, he was “sitting on a short wall a short distance away!”

After taking a moment to come to his senses, he scanned his surroundings and noticed the metal ball a short distance away, stating that it “looked like a mirror” and was now glowing. He elaborated that this sphere-like object “reflected everything around it” and that he was “fascinated by seeing his reflection in it!” Then, without warning, it suddenly “zipped away” and disappeared into the distance. By the time he had returned home, his parents were so concerned about his whereabouts that they had contacted the police, and as relieved as they were to see him, they were also annoyed at the worry he had caused.

Things turned even stranger several hours later when he suddenly became very sick, eventually vomiting strange, black fluid. His father took him to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with iron poisoning. He eventually told his father of what he had seen while riding his bike, and he scolded him once more for telling tall tales. Since then, until speaking of the encounter online, the witness remained quiet about the bizarre event.

The Blue Orb Incident Of Berks County

There are also several encounters to explore from more recent times. According to another online commentator, at some point in 2009, in Berks County, they and several friends were near an old hermit cabin, attempting to look inside, one evening, when a “blue orb came out of nowhere” causing them to all run in several directions away from it. This strange orb “somehow attached itself” to the heel of one of the witness’s friends as he tried to outrun it. The witness continued that there was no doubt in his mind that the orb was “intelligently controlled!”

Eventually, the orb “dislodged itself” from his friend’s foot (who was, incidentally, completely unaware it had attached itself) and disappeared high into the air. The witness estimated that the spherical object was approximately the “size of a racquetball” that had a “clear shell and blue plasma” or fire inside it. He concluded that the encounter was “by far the creepiest thing I’ve ever experienced!”

Interestingly, there are local legends surrounding Hawk Mountain – also in Berks County – of these strange, glowing balls of energy. Moreover, almost identical legends – and reported sightings – can be found at Brown Mountain in North Carolina. Even stranger, many of these reports of strange orbs and ball-shaped objects around Brown Mountain also speak of equally strange figures within them, just like some of the encounters we examined earlier.

Even more recently, one evening in the summer of 2002, between 5 and 6 pm, another online commentator was driving on the backroads in the mountains between Bethlehem and Allentown when they noticed a strange, white, glowing ball heading in his direction, eventually passing his vehicle and continuing in the opposite direction away from him. He recalled that the object was no higher than the treetops that lined the roadside and was moving “so fast it looked like there was a streak or tail behind” it.

More Ancient Than Otherworldly?

Although, as we have mentioned, it is tempting to conclude that these strange orbs are alien vehicles from another world (and they very well could be), we might suspect, given the connection to legends around some of the country’s mountains, that they have a much more ancient, and perhaps even spiritual background. We have written on several occasions about similar sightings that respective indigenous tribes around the world state are the result of the spirits of our (collective) ancestors interacting with us in the modern age. Could there be more truth to such assertions than many might think?

If there is any truth that there is more of a spiritual background and origin to these strange orbs and spheres, then what should we make of the reports of strange figures and “creatures” that are often witnessed inside of them? Are these some physical manifestations of these spirits? Or might we suspect that we are dealing with an intelligence that might not be extraterrestrial but certainly otherworldly?

Ultimately, by studying these sightings and reports – both those from our contemporary era and historic cases from years past – and noting patterns that we see, both in these encounters and others from the paranormal world, we will be able to get a clearer picture of the anomalous world; to be able to clear up some of the fuzz and see details previously out of focus. Until then, these fascinating and thought-provoking sightings remain a complete mystery.

Multiple firsthand reports spark curiosity, but no conclusive proof has surfaced to definitively confirm or refute these orb sightings.
